APRIL.... Yes, it's officially the spring season. But it's still chilly around here. So I decided to make something warm to wear over a T-shirt or spring dress.
This bolero is easy to make. Knit the wide scarf, then knit together only the arm parts. I added crocheted ending around the edge. Free knitting pattern for this bolero is available here (I'm afraid that it's Japanese-only... But it's highly visualized.)
According to my records, I knitted this vest in December 2006. It's not that I don't like this nor never wore this. Actually, I like this simplicity and did wear this quite often. All I expected for this vest was just the simplicity, so it could be said that the result was successful in a way. But I've been thinking, while wearing this, that something is missing. This vest is... you know.... too conservative.
So, I decided to "undone" entire parts and let it "be reborn." I have just finished this remake project yesterday. In addition to the navy color yarn which was used in the previous vest, I combined red yarn to spice it up.
It's worth challenging to remake something into new stuff regardless of tons of energy spent on it. I did enjoy this project and have another plan on my mind!
Yesterday, I made this vivid blue x orange knit cap. How dangerous and violent color combination it has! I dare to put this on when I enjoy skiing. If you happen to see me wearing this on a slope (chances are rare though), please do not hesitate to pat me on my shoulder. If you are too ashamed of speaking to someone who is wearing such a weird knit cap, please just do not hesitate to ignore me even if you recognize this cap. (LOL)
I've been pretty productive lately, because I was off for a couple of days. Get back to work, girl!
